DRESS IT UP CHALLENGE

I have been meaning to join in with the 'Dress it up' blog challenge set by Margaret for a number of months now but kept running out of time however this month I did find the time and had great fun...

being taken back a few years designing paper dresses with tabs on for the Bunty comic a doll was printed on the back of the comic each week along with paper outfits I loved dressing her up and designing my own outfits for her.

I have had this gorgeous paper for ages and the lace for about 11years, the ribbon for 4years... made for each other.

Chris over at Bling-kin-eck was staying with me last week and she must have made a dozen pairs of shoes out of paper ...think she was having a shoe fetish going on, LOL

My kitchen looked like a shoe shop and as I had a small amount of the dress paper left she just had to make some likkle shoes to match.

Aren't they gorgeous they are so tiny about 2inches long and I just love them.
If you want to join in with the challenge 'Dress it up' with Margaret then just pop over H E R E
There are some amazing dress designers taking part each month.
Our June challenge over at the Artist Trading Card.... Swap 'til you Drop blog is hosted by guest designer Margaret her challenge is ' mini dress it up ' ATC's so if you feel like joining in check us out over H E R E

Vintage swaps and Chris' blog give away

For the Artist Trading Card monthly swap over H E R E the theme is Vintage set by the lovely Patty from Magpie's Nest.

Here's my take on the challenge.

The Images are from Lisa's Altered Art the flourish stamp from Crafty Individuals and the inks are from the new TH distress inks.

I have crackle glazed them however not good with the camera today with the migraine I am suffering.

The 3 below were created using vintage bits and pieces sent to me in the way of a swap from Contessa Kris, Thank you Kris. x

I just had to have a go using some of it.

They are not for the Vintage swap but for my own collection.

Do check out the post below for Chris' blog give away

Something Completely Different

This week over at Something Completely Different we are challenged to use the letter 'W' in our creative offering..... I can hear you say ah! ....it must be..... 'W'oman :) and yes, it could be...

BUT this is me we are talking about and as I wanted to show this piece ......my very FIRST digi ATC which I created about 5 weeks ago with a tute from Chris (there's nothing that girl can't do)

I looked at it long and hard and came up with..... wait for it..... PMSL
'W' rought iron fleur-de-lis... ...LOL
The fleur-de-lis (or fleur-de-lys; plural: fleurs-de-lis; French pronunciation: [flœʁ dΙ™ lis]) is a stylized lily (in French, fleur means flower, not that you didn't already know this.
All elements are from Lisa's Altered Art digital images.
Hope that this counts.
Have a great evening

T on Tuesday

It's 'T on Tuesday'...how quick does that come back around....Today I thought I would share with you my new magazine I have subscribed to ...one of my fab Christmas pressies, I just love it when the pressie lasts for one whole year.

And today instead of serving tea and biscuits I thought I would serve you a helping of some ATC's I am playing with for our monthly challenge over H E R E
The challenge was set by Donna we have to DOODLE our backgrounds and add an image and embellishments.

These are my backgrounds I played with at my DD's PJ crafty night using acrylic paints they are not yet finished but thought I would still share them with you.

One of the images I am playing with, I just love it it has been designed by Joyce Howton at Paper Forest Designs based in Australia they arrived on Saturday morning they took only 5 days to get to me in the UK... how good is that...I ordered some stamps on the same day from 35 miles up the road, they have been dispatched and YES you have guessed it...still no sign of them!!!
Below some Twinchies I also played with using up the left over background again they are not yet finished but wanted to show you anyway.

This gawgus girl below has been part of my kitchen for 7 years she has taken pride and place in all 5 homes since 2003

That's it Tbreak over for today....and if you would like to join in with us pop over to Kimmies blog
H E R E and see what the other girls are chatting about... you may like to join in with us next time.

artygirls blue and yellow

Hello once again for the Arty girlz challenge the theme being Blue and Yellow for this week..now I may have told you at some point that that colour combo is not one I would use I am a real Autumn girl...however I did play with inking backgrounds last week and the above is one of them...so on seeing the challenge this morning I came up with this ATC.

The image and words are both from 'Lisa's Altered Art' sheets... the background branch used to give more depth to the sky is one I purchased from Karen at Scrapz over HERE.... It is from 'The Cherry Pie' collection.

This fabulous 'Birds of a Feather' ATC is from Denises in Dubai her take on Blue and Yellow colour combo.

for the Arty Girlz...Thanks Denise.
