I missed the last 2 weeks of SCD but pleased to say I have made it this week for the 'skinny' challenge which must include a house.

3x5inch canvas...this is my first time creating one and found the size a little awkward to work with but got there in the end, lol

The stamps are all Crafty Individuals along with the background paper and beautiful images the fab white chipboard house is also CI's....
I used TH distress inks to give the piece a soft colour.
if you would like to join in with this challenge you have 'til Thursday.
Thanks for looking.
Tonight I am off to see my Grandsons Film on the big screen in Middlesbrough, he has written, produced, directed and filmed it he also wrote and played the music for it.... how proud am I of CURTIS watch this

I have been meaning to join in with the 'Dress it up' blog challenge set by Margaret for a number of months now but kept running out of time however this month I did find the time and had great fun...

being taken back a few years designing paper dresses with tabs on for the Bunty comic a doll was printed on the back of the comic each week along with paper outfits I loved dressing her up and designing my own outfits for her.

I have had this gorgeous paper for ages and the lace for about 11years, the ribbon for 4years... made for each other.

Chris over at Bling-kin-eck was staying with me last week and she must have made a dozen pairs of shoes out of paper ...think she was having a shoe fetish going on, LOL

My kitchen looked like a shoe shop and as I had a small amount of the dress paper left she just had to make some likkle shoes to match.

Aren't they gorgeous they are so tiny about 2inches long and I just love them.
If you want to join in with the challenge 'Dress it up' with Margaret then just pop over H E R E
There are some amazing dress designers taking part each month.
Our June challenge over at the Artist Trading Card.... Swap 'til you Drop blog is hosted by guest designer Margaret her challenge is ' mini dress it up ' ATC's so if you feel like joining in check us out over H E R E
Thanks for looking

Peeled paint backgrounds

I am back after taking sometime out for family matters.
I have managed to create 3/5 ATC's for the May challenge over H E R E

I will complete the other 2 this week....The challenge set by Gaby a very talented mixed media artist was a peeled paint technique
My first try at it was a disaster as I left out one of the stages however my second attempt is the result on the backgrounds on these ATC's and I am thrilled with them ...thank you Gaby. x
Click on them to enlarge to see the peeled paint.

I wanted to bring a little shabbiness into them and son love the results.
The challenge ends today and a new one begins tomorrow but would just like to thank Gaby for setting this wonderful challenge and I know it took alot of us out of our comfort zone and the results are brilliant.... if you have never paid Gaby a visit me you should her work is amazing and so inspiring you can find her H E R E
The images are those of Lisa's Altered Art
Hope to get round to you all ASAP.
Also hope that everyone had a good Bank holiday.
