Vintage swaps and Chris' blog give away

For the Artist Trading Card monthly swap over H E R E the theme is Vintage set by the lovely Patty from Magpie's Nest.

Here's my take on the challenge.

The Images are from Lisa's Altered Art the flourish stamp from Crafty Individuals and the inks are from the new TH distress inks.

I have crackle glazed them however not good with the camera today with the migraine I am suffering.

The 3 below were created using vintage bits and pieces sent to me in the way of a swap from Contessa Kris, Thank you Kris. x

I just had to have a go using some of it.

They are not for the Vintage swap but for my own collection.

Do check out the post below for Chris' blog give away

Blog Give Away and challenge

Chris' blog 'give away and challenge and we all like a challenge you have to agree.

How would you like to be in with a chance of owning these 2 stamps designed by no other than our Chris some years ago.

She has them up for a challenge on her personal blog.... bling-kin-eck.... to be in with a chance of her give-away just pop over and collect the template she has designed and create a little something using one of the images from the sheet.

Here I have grabbed you a couple of close ups of just 2 of the pieces she has made using the templates.

The colours are yummy

why not pop over and see for yourself.
The challenge she has set using the templates allows you 2 weeks to complete...loads of time.
I had hoped to show you my Vintage ATC's for this months challenge over H E R E Ehowever I somehow...I say somehow 'cos I do not know how''' I deleted them from not only the camera but the file too.
Will have to take them again but in the meantime I am off for that template.
Hope that you have all had a great weekend.

S C D and the letter 'B'

Happy Friday it's almost the weekend and time once again for S C D the challenge to create something, anything as long as it has something to do with the letter 'B'

Mine includes a bird, birdcage, bauble, butler and the words.... believe, birds and bespoke

all on a......

Book mark and again this one is for a friend...hope that you like it Chris you did asked me to make you one.... just need to loop the fibres and ribbons onto it.
I stamped and grunged the background with TH inks and found the rest from a magazine.

The middle 2 pics I had to take without a flash as no matter how much I tried it reflected in the card.

Thanks for looking and hope that you all have a great weekend.

If you wish to join in with the challenge take a look over H E R E

Something Completely Different

This week over at Something Completely Different we are challenged to use the letter 'W' in our creative offering..... I can hear you say ah! ....it must be..... 'W'oman :) and yes, it could be...

BUT this is me we are talking about and as I wanted to show this piece ......my very FIRST digi ATC which I created about 5 weeks ago with a tute from Chris (there's nothing that girl can't do)

I looked at it long and hard and came up with..... wait for it..... PMSL
'W' rought iron fleur-de-lis... ...LOL
The fleur-de-lis (or fleur-de-lys; plural: fleurs-de-lis; French pronunciation: [flœʁ dΙ™ lis]) is a stylized lily (in French, fleur means flower, not that you didn't already know this.
All elements are from Lisa's Altered Art digital images.
Hope that this counts.
Have a great evening

New Stamps and ATC challenge

I had my pal Chris staying for a few days and we really got stuck in to some stamping we got down and dirty with her new Tim Holtz inks.. a mothers day pressie for her.

Over at The Artist Trading Club blog HERE we have a challenge for March set by the lovely Nancy from Gothic Arches her theme is 'Garden Faries' and this is my take on her theme.

a brand new stamp out this week I just had to have it...couldnt help myself a weired and wonderful garden fairy if ever there was one.
She is one of the new Stampotique purchased from 'Art from the Heart'...oh I love those stamps.
The flourish is from CI.
Some more stamps that you know I love so much are those of Crafty Individuals here is part of another one of their new ones, I created the roof with the row of houses.

The other stamp in this house is also CI's
Talking about stamps...my pal Chris used all of these below over the few days she was here, her mojo was well on form and she created some fab stuff however I wouldnt let her sneak off until she cleaned them all...lol she was there for ever... but I did cook her tea for her whilst she did them.

Those wipes you can just see are only 50p a packet and along with Stazon cleaner she did a really good job.. I even rewarded her with a Magnum... no not to shoot me...lol... to eat it's an icecream lolly.
thanks Chris.
Check out a couple of posts below to see some more new Crafty Individual stamps.
Have a great weekend

Tea on Tuesday

I am back in blogland the workmen finished and now back to some 'me time' :))))

Tea Tuesday is beng hosted today by Dianne and she has chosen the theme "What signifies the coming of Spring to you?" You can click on HERE and pay Dianne a visit where you will find a lovely treat in store.

Now, what 'signifies the coming of Spring' for me apart from the usual wonderful plants popping through after the winter and new lambs being born.... is my dads birthday on the 1st day of spring 21st March...sadly dad is no longer with us but he is forever in my thoughts and I see him in my children.

This photo is of him when he was but a young man just joining the Royal Air Force when he was just 17,
I heard a little story from my gran many years ago that my dad went to join up telling them he was older than his years to get in.... he then sent money home to his mum to help out as jobs and money were in short supply his reason for telling a porky about his age.

So my dads birthday signifies the coming of Spring for me.

I am soooo excited as today I was sent some fabulous new stamps from Crafty Individuals check them out HERE, now are these not just soooo intune with our Tea Tuesday ...I just had to share them with you.

Can hardly wait to have a play with them they are gorgeous.

Keep checking back and see what Chris and I come up with using them.

Happy Tea Tuesday one and all I will be round to visit you all soon.

Tuesday tea and urban art

Today's theme for our Tea Tuesday is 'Urban Art' chosen by Christen, why not pop along and pay her a visit you can find her over H E R E

Urban Art, the sky's the limit out there sooo much to choose from... I first came across UA in American films and American TV when I was younger think it was called graffiti by the like of the police.
The next time I saw it IRL was in London but it was frowned upon way back then...no longer frowned upon it's accepted for what it is.... ART.

I didn't go for Graffiti but instead I found you some Urban canvas art...ART with Urban ATTITUDE ;)

I love these and would put them on my wall if i lived in a huge modern open plan attic apartment.

Find more over H E R E at Didgi Widgi art gallery.

1, Urban Decay

2, On the pull...lol

3, Rehab.

4, Locked up

5, Escape

6, Almost extinct

7, Shute

I really love the telephone boxes they remind me so much of the 60's.... when we would phone the operator and ask if anyone was on the line... she...it was always a 'she' and yes i did this more than once..... we would then say to her...''well get off the line there is a train coming''...lol...
we thought it was funny until we were caught by the local policeman and in those days we were scared of him.... I never did it again.... that was my only naughty encounter with the police.

The other memories I have was every Sunday going into the phone box at the corner of our street, insert an old sixpence and dial a disc then listen to a different record playing every week.... and beleive me a sixpence was a lot of money way back then, I only earned £3 10 shillings and 6pence for a week at work.

If you would like to join in with our Tea Tuesday just pop over and let the lovely Kimie know, you can find her H E R E along with a list of guests tea drinkers.

Next week will be hosted by Pat over HERE ....Artfully oogle bloops blog.

2 more finds on my travels.....Urban?...definately ART

Puppy dog eyes

The drinks on me...lol

Not the real titles just one I gave them

Thanks for joining me for tea today.... sorry cannot remember where I found the cup and saucer at the top of the post. x
