Like her Granny if it sits still long enough it ends up on an ATC... she was doing her homework when her pen broke ...the spring flew out and ended up on her ATC... ROFPMSL.
If you fancy having a go at the challenge this week click on HERE.
Thanks for looking and hope that you have had a great weekend and managed some crafting.

Artygirls challenge Small Art

Here is my entry for the Artygirlz challenge this week... the challenge is to produce a piece of small art no larger than an ATC size and as I am back into making ATC's I thought I would enter this one ...the background is from playing with inks and the stamp is another of the fabulous Crafty Individual stamps.
click on image to get a better look of the background... as I enlarged it I have just decided this Rabbit has jumped over a stream and a red sky at night...lol

artgirlz challenge 'frames and Tanda challenge in the frame

This week at the Artygirlz we were challenged to use a frame.
I made these 2 Christmas cards using Crafty Individuals Craft mounts
You can purchase a pack of 12 empty mounts,
The mounts can be covered in decorative papers, or stamped with inks, and used to embellish cards, scrapbooks, etc.
I chose to Emboss the frames but firstly Chris, I played with some inks putting a few drops of our chosen colours onto an old table mat and then diluted them with water.... then gently wiped the mount in the inks... picking up colour where we wanted it...leaving the frames to dry.
I chose the same background from CI Christmas paper book, ( I love CI papers)
Then chose images from CI Christmas image book.
I then decided to emboss the frames, again choosing a selection of CI stamps and heat embossing the top card with Verdigris and the bottom card with gold.
I have also included these in for the Tanda challenge for last week ... In the frame.
Be back soon to with the awards,
Chriss x

Arty girlz challenge 'Inspired'

Over at the ARTYGIRLS this week our challenge is to choose a blog we like and without copying exactly deliver a piece of art we have been inspired by.
The person I have chosen to be tonight Matthew is... oops, sorry, wrong programme..lol

The person I have chosen is Kris'....I first found Kris in May '08 when I was blog hopping and loved her work soooo much, how lucky was I that she was giving 3 of her painted ATC's away I asked for one of them, very soon it arrived in the post and I added it to my collection with great PRIDE.
Thank you Kris I will always treasure the above ATC. x

However for the challenge I have been inspired by another piece of her fabulous work, a very romantic pink canvas she has posted on her blog on the 23rd Oct. over HERE

I searched for a romantic flowing dress which i picked up for a song from Dolce Gabbana, and went from there and as you all know I love painted circles on some of my work so this was right up my street.

This is my version of Kris' truely creative piece... T H A N K Y O U Kris.
Sadly her head and halo are not fixed to her body as iI would like, I had them set out ok before gluing them down and would you believe on this occasion the glue stuck immediately and it was impossible to remove and reposition her.
Never mind she is still going on my wall :)) I like her.
The paper used over the canvas is from the PM 'simply elegant' pack and the really lovely gold embossing powder is one of Debbie Moore's.
The paper ribbon that sits along the lower edge of the canvas came in a RAK from Linda Vincent..thanx L.
Thanks for the challenge Girlz I really enjoyed it.
Have a lovely weekend and thanks for looking.

Artygirlz challenge blue and orange

Hi, My take on the Artygirlz challenge for this week.. Blue and Orange and as I didn't want to be leaving it to the last minute this week I quickly put an ATC together using one of the PM papers. As always I just feel I have to add a bit more ...LOL... I used the gorgeous Crafty Individual Ledger stamp to give the background a bit more depth... well.... can you spot the deliberate mistake??
There will never be another ATC like it. ROFPMSL it's a one off.
Thanx for looking

Arty girlz challenge

Hi, The above piece is my entry for the Artygirlz challenge to include clipart in our work. This piece started off as a square of turquoise shinny cardboard packaging which I embossed and coloured , added some of the free clip art left over from a sheet I used for my altered envelope... the website address is listed on an earlier post..why not go and get yourself some freeeeeeeee images.

the ticket I have cut and adhered to the card is my cinema ticket I purchased to watch the film 'Women' ... So the card and the ticket are recycled... I feel like I get a bargain when I do that.
However the last time I went to the cinema it was only £4 it's now £6.75p!! A while ago then. lol.
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR THE ALTERED ENVELOPE ENTRIES AND VOTE ON YOUR FAVOURITE PIECE OF ALTERED ART.
Thanx for looking. Chriss x
