SCD X STITCH

For S C D this week we were given the letter X to create something, anything with an X and for mine I gave this pretty little dress some x stitch.
The image is from Lisa's Altered Art (See link in side bar) and the background is my own work... I feel a little tute coming on as to how I did it....
IF I can stop getting butterflys in my belly at the thought of it.
The stamps are from Fiskars which I won a while back.
May sees the BIRTHDAY of SCD and hey there will be some big celebrations going on starting this Friday so do pop on over and join in.
Have a happy Thursday

Mona's mood swings

I do hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas... I had a lovely time with my gorgeous family.
As you can see I have been playing with Chris' Mona stamp along with different inks on the backgrounds of the ATC's.
With the use of different inks and colours she is almost like one of those mood rings.... she takes on a very different look on each ATC.
I just thought I would share them with you as her 'mum' Chris is coming over to collect her tomorrow .... I will be sad to see her go...Karen (Scrapz) please can you order my very own Mona in for me. ROFPMSL.
Take care Chriss x

Artygirls challenge Small Art

Here is my entry for the Artygirlz challenge this week... the challenge is to produce a piece of small art no larger than an ATC size and as I am back into making ATC's I thought I would enter this one ...the background is from playing with inks and the stamp is another of the fabulous Crafty Individual stamps.
click on image to get a better look of the background... as I enlarged it I have just decided this Rabbit has jumped over a stream and a red sky at night...lol
Thanks for looking

Awfully big art adventure L & R

For the challenge on Linda & Rosies BAA where the challenge was to create a thick wooden ATC... well I had no wood apart from some mounted wooden stamps and so.... into the microwave for a couple of seconds (please don't try this at home..LOL) to loosen the glue and off came the rubber image. just like that.

I gessoed the wood twice and then poured a few drops of ink onto a makeup pad and rubbed it into the gesso...cut out some images and adhered them to the block and with some of my fave stamps I added postal franks.
Chris took the top 2 pics and somehow we didnt get the reverse photographed b4 she left for home...what were we thinking about... so I must appologise at my attempt at using my camcorder on my laptop, the pic is really bad. The top pictures are the true colours.
The bathing beauty in a sitting pose had to have some celulite removed last night... I swear... you ask Chris..lol.

I have only had this laptop 2years this Christmas.. lol and never used the camera ...but really must get one of the DGC to show me how.... ROFPMSL.
My ATC block I have decided is a wooden postcard.
Thanks for looking and thanks for the challenge ladies.
Have a lovely weekend.
Chriss.
PLEASE CHECK OUT THE ALTERED CD CHALLENGE ENTRIES BELOW AND VOTE FOR YOUR FAVE TO WIN. x

Denises Treasure Box

Earlier this year I received this little treasure box handmade by my gorgeous long time friend Denise and as most of you know she is living in Dubai...(wave to you Denise)
She made it from double sided papers and included some ribbon I sent her in a RAK.
This is where I was inspired to use the same idea for the handle on my box in the post below.
The box was filled with 10 fabulous 1 off ATC's to add to my collection... wow does she spoil me.

The photo's were taken by DGD Jordie and the rose is from a lovely posy of 8 bought for me by Jordie herself, for my birthday...this one is 10days old they kept really well and are still looking good.

I just want to mention that a little while ago I came across another blog belonging to Nancy where she is giving out little tutes which include some great techniques.
Her link is HERE
Why not pop over and give her a visit.
Just 2 mornings ago Jordie awoke at 'daft o'clock' for a drink of water, on entering the kitchen she was greeted with this wonderful view... still very much asleep from her late late night of reading she took this photo ...she knows its out of focus but she did take it with her eyes stuck together...lol.
thanx for sharing it Jord.

Artygirlz challenge blue and orange

Hi, My take on the Artygirlz challenge for this week.. Blue and Orange and as I didn't want to be leaving it to the last minute this week I quickly put an ATC together using one of the PM papers. As always I just feel I have to add a bit more ...LOL... I used the gorgeous Crafty Individual Ledger stamp to give the background a bit more depth... well.... can you spot the deliberate mistake??
There will never be another ATC like it. ROFPMSL it's a one off.
Thanx for looking

Think Monday Think ATC

For the above ATC I used one of Freddie's Friends 3Decoupage A4 sheets plus a small piece of ribbon from Fat Friedie's Craft Shed... click on HERE ... (they have a summer sale on at the moment). It was totally outside of my box for this one.... never really had a go at decoupage before... sorry Niki, I didn't stick to the instructions on the sheet, I found myself doing it my way. :))
This little baby is one of the first RECYCLED ATC's I made it was all cut from a birthday card someone received... I added rub on letters to complete it.
This I thought was very fitting for the TMTA challenge on COLOUR.
Are you a head of feet person? And whats your fave colour?
Happy Monday Luv Chriss x
