Mixed Media Monday challenge

Do you recognise anyone...yep that is me 'Chriss' on the left with my Tina Turner wig on, we dressed up for our pub Halloween Party in 1989 and this pic is of the staff ...My sister is the Bride of Frankenstein memories.. what a brilliant night.
The layout was put together by Papergirl Chrissy using the fabulous Cosmo Cricket Haunted Papers and rub ons.. that cobweb is really awesome and went on so easily along with all the other rub ons used.

We are entering this layout for Mixed Media Monday's challenge... http://mixedmediamonday.wordpress.com ...OK do I hear WHAT! WHERE! ...Well if you look up the definition of Harmony you will see these words
5* Pleasantness in arrangement: *a pleasing effect produced by an arrangement of things, parts or colours... OK... we may be 'grasping at straws' here but I think we are all VERY 'pleasantly arranged' wouldn't you agree lol and the lay out is a pleasing effect of colour. rofl. Have we got away with this one???

Here are some sneak peeks of some other Halloween photo's Chrissy scrapped of her DGS on the same night we got together for a crafting session. If you would like to see more then pop over and have a nosey...just click on

mixed media monday challenge

Hi,
Here is my challenge for the Mixed Media Monday it is based on a 'Star', yjis is my take on it, the background is a postcard I received, I have recycled it for my challenge... After finding this picture of Helen Mirren ( a true star) in a magazine I checked out her birth sign Leo (stars) included it in my piece...I inked some bubble wrap and dabbed around the edges of the card...found a contrasting agrylic paint and using a dry stencil brush I stippled all around the 3 images and then using a bottle cap I added circles of gesso to finish it off.
Thanx for looking. Chriss x

mixed media monday

'Who Says I Can't Dance' is an ATC I already had stored in my archives to show sometime soon.

Well that time has arrived as at the moment I am at my daughters ....sadly without my travel crafting kit and so unable to take part in any challenges until I return home.
Hope this one will be ok for my take on 'Dance'. The Background Paper is another of the fab Cosmo Cricket the image from Lisa's Altered Art, I have used a thick coat of silver acrylic paint to edge the ATC and included spots of it to give texture to the background the Words have been coated in Glossy Accents. Hopefuly this will count for the 'Mixed Media Monday' challenge over HERE

mixed media monday

My take on 'Mixed Media Monday' the theme being 'Places' and as I am into houses at the moment I based mine on Paris.... once again my first in this challenge and again it won't be my last...I so enjoyed doing it.
The paper on the lower part of the house is again one of Crafty Individuals they do grat papers they do some fantastic stamps too.
The main image stamp is from 'Hampton Art Stamps' I am happy with it. Ooh la la!
