Costume jewellery which I have had for many many years came in very useful for Linda and Rosie's challenge this week.
The first piece had a huge black stone in it until I used great force and pushed it out from the back, 2 of the chains were fixed back on by Chris ( we had a chocolate free...yes us, the 2 chriss' have had a crafting night without chocolate...never been known.... we put on too much weight from these crafting sessions last year so this year we aim to remove it... harder to remove than put it on..lol)
After removing the stone i cut a picture from a wonderful set of images which I bought from Karen at Scrapz. Chose some bling and adhered 4 pink diamonds to this already ornate piece...giving it a new lease of life.
This very blingy blue piece is another broach to which I just added an Artchix Studio image bringing it more up to date.
The top picture of the black and white charm is the front and the legs the reverse side of this charm...it started life as a blue metal tag charm to which I adhered the 2 images both from Artchix.. added a little bit of stamping, some words from a magazine and silver embossed the edges...BUT...be sure to hold the metal charm with pliers or something similar as i forgot that the metal underneath would get HOT... ouch!! some swear words... as Chris would say...lol. However I did manage to give her a wonderful beauty spot on her chin from the tip of them. I added a chain to complete it.... thanx Chris for the chain. x
The last one... although the frame looks metal it isn't, it is plastic, coated in metal paint using another Artchix studio image and part of necklace which I cut up.
Between Chris and I we went mad with these gorgeous images.
Thank you to both Linda and Rosie for setting this challenge, both Chris and I enjoyed it so much we are hooked...lol...watch this space.
Why not pop over to Chris's and see what she created as they are gorgeous. Now to try and get round my lovely people who have left me comments while I have been AWOL again.... sorry life once again got in my way.
Thanks for looking
Chriss x
