Tag Your It

Here is a tag which I am showing for the Tag Your It here
we must either include a quote or a family photo as the challenge.
This Photo is not of my family but that of a blogging friend Cookie find her HERE
It is of her mother Elizabeth who has been poorly of late.
A whole bunch of Blogging Friends made her a little something with the photo Cookie allowed us to use.
I used Cosmo Cricket paper as my background and embssed her crown in silver.
Thanx Cookie x

Dreams have wings

Linda's little Angel, Linda is quite famous in parts of the blogging community for her Angels of all shapes and sizes she has put this one together using paper's from CC as Rosie did in the post below.
she has also stamped tiny hearts and clear embossed them.
The whole of the tag is very'touchy feely' (no such word as 'Feely' but there is in my dictionary) I just love the texture on it.
Thanx Linda for being so kind as to send me it to add to my collection as did Rosie with hers. xx

Washes away from the Soul

One of Rosie's Tags using one of the Cosmo Cricket grunge papers which needs no background work as its all done for you just apply your image, quote and embellishments and its done.
I love the quote she has chosen...
Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.
By Picasso.
Rosie has stamped her clown image and then using a white ink pen has given him character.
Thanx Rosie great use of this paper.

Dans ma maison ilya

This little house is for the Dan's Ma Maison Ilya HERE the theme is 'all about a boy' this is the only Boy Image I have and so worked around him..not sure everything goes together but isn't that 'ART' Just whatever is pleaseing to the eye, I think its the colours more than anything and the little bird from HERE and the ink pen... I do not know who made it, I bought it way back... 8yrs ago... and have used it for the 1st time this month... shame on me :((

These challenge blogs make you dig deep into the stamp boxes and I for one am so glad that they do.

Thanx for stopping by my blog, Luv Chriss x

4x4 Friday & Wednesday stamper

OK, I am sooo not a yellow and orange person and found this a tough one to do but wasn't going to be beat.
The sunglasses stamp is one from Inkadinkado which I have had for some time and used it for the first time today.. I suppose this is what a challenge does for you...makes you search the stamp boxes for inspiration. The bathing cap advert is from Karen at Scrapz the flip flops are an EBay find along time ago...they just seem to finish it off. I feel sure I will do this challenge again because it proved I can work with the 2 colours I would never normally use.
This card covers both 4X4 Friday and Wednesday Stamper Luv Chriss x

This one is my own template taken from the very 1st post on this blog.
I did this little piece to join in with the 'Arty Girlz' 'Nature' challenge HERE again my first with them and again won't be my last.
The prize which they are giving away has been donated by 'Crafty Individuals' as a big fan of their stamps and paper I thought I would incorporate
some of them into this little house.
The back ground paper, bird stamps and the love letters transparency are all theirs. Recycled post box...i knew would come in for something one day.

For this weeks Crazy Amigo's challenge (my first) the theme being Houses and as I am in love with them at the moment how could I not have a go.

Pink and green go well together and although she comes over as a stroppy little madam she still deserves a bit of pink. The house is another of the downloads I got last week from... HERE it is a lovely size to work with....the lower background paper is one from CC and the image is from 'Lisa's Altered Art'.

Later tonight another LO from Chris, to see Rosies arch just scroll down a couple of posts. Luv Chriss x

The paper on the lower part of the house is again one of Crafty Individuals they do grat papers they do some fantastic stamps too.
The main image stamp is from 'Hampton Art Stamps' I am happy with it. Ooh la la!

The lady in the bather I think is from Scrapz.
I have had so much trouble today signing in and loading pictures.
Later today some of Rosies work is being posted.

TGIF Baby Challenge

This LO fits in very nicely with
the TGIF, I scrapped this photo on Thursday night during a crafting session with Chris.

The photo is of her DN a 'little princess'...Ssssh don't wake her.
whisper...Again using the fab papers from Cosmo Cricket ( i am in love with them) I used one of their scalloped pages as a template for the red background which I mounted the picture onto...the windmill is also from their ready cut embellishments that pop out easily ready to assemble it then only needed me to add a few buttons, a pink flowered brad and of course we can't have a princess without a crown can we.

she's a star

Chris was over at mine last night and we scrapped 'till 2am this morning, going by our normal once a week crafting night that is early for us... lol
well by the time we have a bite to eat and a chat and chocolate before we even start crafting...LOL
Yesterday I promised to show you one of her layouts well scroll down and you will see one she did on another of our crafting nights.
this Reality check is of my DGD taken about 7yrs ago aged 3... I found the photo about midnight and decided I just had to scrap it and I am thrilled I did :))
Look at the way she plucks those strings..she's a natural... she's been here before that one!
All the papers apart from the card stock on the background come from the Cosmo Cricket range and even the guitar how perfect was that.
Luv Chriss x

scroll down for more

Look at the concentration on this little guy...He's programmed to play alright.
He is Chris's DGS she scrapped him using the Cosmo Cricket Cogsmo double sided papers which has her in a real dilemma because she loves both sides and is almost reduced to tears as she wants to keep the other side... how we laugh about it.
Yesterday I promised to show you just what Linda did with the left overs of her CC papers, scroll down and see...

And here it is Linda's masterpiece...

Both Chris and I adore it...Linda promised never to tear up all the scraps left over from her CC papers again...but I for one hope very much that she does.

The New Cosmo Cricket Summer range is out at the end of June and I cant wait to see what you do with the scraps you will have left Linda.

Pop over to Linda's blog and see what else she does with Frida.

Thank you to the team for the time and creativness you give to this blog. xx Look out for Rosies little works of ART coming soon :)).

ATC's

This ATC was made a month or so ago but only just getting round to showing it here it's been shown in the Scrapz Gallery since May.

I bought the stamp from Karen at 'Scrapz uk' why not pop over and see here amazing collection of Crafty Goodies. http://www.scrapz.co.uk/
The fab papers I both stamped and doodled on are from the Cosmo Cricket Cogsmo range...love doodling

I just adore this fairy stamp I have used on this bleach, water and ink tecnique ATC the stamp is one designed by local artist (to me) Jean Hardy of Crafty Individuals...see her online store for more of her wonderful creations. http://www.craftyindividuals.co.uk/
I finished the ATC off by adding gold embossing
using a selection of stamps, sorry I can't remember where I bought them.

Lastly this tiny shrine is a lovely piece of art which looks so at home on this ATC, it has been created by Rosie and once again the back ground paper and papers she stamped on are from CC and with that already distressed look to it, it is perfect for the Rosies Modonna.

More tomorrow along with a great LO from Chrissy plus you can see just what Linda did with all her little bits of scrap papers she had left over from CC, waste not want not as the saying goes.
I love it and can hardly wait to share it with you tomorrow.

Altered Art

Another altered art project.. this jigsaw piece is 4 x 4.5 inches like the picture frame it was also rescude from a journey to the rubbish tip.

I spread glue over the whole of one side of the jigsaw and then placed the glue side down on the opposite side of the Cosmo Cricket paper I wanted to have as my base for stamping.
Once the glue was dry I took a sharp crafting knife and cut the jigsaw piece away from the paper... we have a blank canvas...
I chose several stamps that worked together and just stamped away.
It turned out to be a nice piece of altered ART which can be either left as it is or stuck into a box frame.
I have a few more pieces of the jigsaw and so I will be showing you more at a later date.
If you have ago please leave me a link and I will come and visit you.

Once you pop you can't stop

In the name of crafts I was forced to eat a whole tube (which I didn’t enjoy one little bit) of those things which claim ‘once you pop you can’t stop’ it’s soo true you just can’t stop, has anyone ever tried has anyone ever wanted to?? LOL. I punched holes in the plastic lid about 7 is good it will allow room inside for about 3mtrs of each ribbon, I covered the tube in a fabulous Cosmo Cricket paper and added a label with the word friendship on (to give as a gift to a crafty friend, enjoy it Chris) I then cut out a little felt flower, added a button to the center of the flower and then glued a small piece of Green spotted ribbon to the back before gluing it to the front of the dispenser… added 7 assorted ribbons inside the tube and allowing about 2inches to be pulled through the lid. I just love the sound of the ribbons being pulled through…try it you will know what i mean. LOL. If you dont have a problem eating more Pringles you could colour co-ordinate the outside with the ribbons on the inside. If you make one leave me a link and I will come see you. Happy popping. Dancing in the rain

Cosmo Cricket paper background adding clear 3D just to get the look of rain drops on a warm summer's day dancing in the rain...warm rain. I have edged the ATC with silver look embossing to frame her.
have a lovely weekend and if you want to take alook at some more ATC's over at ''Swap 'til you drop'' just click on
here and you can see Friday's challenge where we created Russian Doll ATC's... they are fun, cute and adorable.
thanx for looking.

Rosie's Little Princess

I loved the Cosmo Cricket papers they are of a gorgeous heavy quality and very atmospheric for creating everything from ATC backgrounds to scrapbook pages. Why spend time endlessly distressing and inking when you can have paper that looks like this??? Or is that just lazy??

This little sweetheart is just so cute (even though she doesn't appear to want her picture taken) and so I thought she must be somebody's little princess and ought to have a crown as well as a teddy! Don't you just love her little button boots?
Yes Rosie they are soo cute and if you click and enlarge the picture you will see this little princess possibly wasn't the only child to have worn them, either that or she plays a whole lot of football. LOL
Thanx for sharing this fab ATC Rosie.

Chrissy's Crazy Lay Out

This photo was just screaming out for some fun CC papers. They just suit DG down to the ground, have no doubt he would’ve given that robot a run for his money in the golfing stakes too.

Having met him I have no doubt either. LOL
I love your LO Chrissy and that robot is just jumping with joy at this golfing range but I wonder did he stop off at the 19th on the way round!! Thanx soooo much for sharing.

Chriss' first arch

This Gothic Arch is my 1st and must add it will not be my last I loved doing it and have a few more lined up for you.

There are a few challenges creating GA's in blog land and given the time I hope to join in with them.
The paper again is one of CC's and if you enlarge it you will see I used a 3D liquid gloss for embossing the leaves... lifting them off the paper. The frank stamp I am ashamed to say that I have owned it for about 9yrs and never used it until now... if you look closely you can see 'Dubai' printed on it.. now who would have thought that Denise my gorgeous friend and design team member would be living there all these years later. Hi Denise.
I posted this GA on the Fiskarettes UK blog and it won 'star of the week'... how pleased was I and one of the comments left for me said that it was 'Very Julia Margaret Cameron!' The famous british photographer..Nice one!
Thanx Chriss x

the enigmatic smile

This was my favourite paper from the Cosmo Cricket range as it has so many different features; wonderful colours, words, flowers and textures - there’s so much you can do with it.
The enigmatic Mona seems so at home amongst the subtle colours and the flowers, some of which I cut to overlap the picture.
An absolute gorgerous Gothic Arch Linda you have done both the picture and CC paper proud
thankyou for sharing with us.
Chriss x

She's been framed by Chriss

I rescued this picture frame from a journey to a council rubbish tip where it would have ended its days :(... my daughter was throwing it out.

Being one to recycle on my ATC's and the fact that I just love altering 'STUFF' saved it's life and gave it a brand new look using an up to the minute CC paper. The Stamp I have used is one of my faves from the fun 'chicklets collection' by Stamps Happen Inc... the photo is of my gorgeous Goddaughter Emily taken about 10 years ago... You do know both her mum and I will be in big trouble for this, SORRY Emily but it just jumped into my hands and well it just compliments this new look frame. Hope you still love me after this. x

Cosmo Cricket... 'My Story'

Today is the launch of my new blog where I get to show you the art/crafts which has been created by a team of girls who all have a passion for PAPER.
We have been putting together quite a collection over this last month as well as keeping up to date with our other crafting blogs which are listed on the right.
So far Chris, Linda and Rosie have helped me to create some fab pieces for 'Cosmo Cricket' using their wonderful papers which they trusted me with..LOL. Big thankyou Lindsay... the papers are of fantastic heavy quality, co-ordinting double sided and have been a delight to work with.
We do hope you like what you see here today, the first to be shown is this little house 'My Story' these houses are soo enjoyable to create and so many artists/crafter's alike are making them and do you know what, it doesn't surprise me at all (they can become addictive in a nice way) thet can be made to any size you wish there are no rules as you will see over the next coming weeks. The 2 back ground papers I used for this house are of course from Cosmo Cricket which I have stamped to give depth and shape to the house... I really did enjoy doing my first house and we have a whole street of them just waiting to be viewed, OH and I could not resist using the CC name on the roof... all builders give the house a name on their design plans.
As today is our launching day you are being given an insight into what we have been creating for you.
The header is made up of 5 ATC's the four on the right have been created by me as in Chriss, using both the grunge look and contemporary papers from Cosmo Cricket they were a pleasure to create and the papers I believe will work with modern day and vintage looks, the ATC on the left is from my dearest friend of 21yrs over in Dubai, Hi Denise.. big wave... Thank you, 'Its good to dream'.... I know you are becoming inpatient to see more... so without further ado please scroll down and see what we have in store for you. Hope you enjoy.
Thank you girls because without you this blog would not be possible.
