Hello I am back.... however, still not over my awful bout of flu I have gone through boxes of mansize tissues. I have sneezed, caught it, killed it and binned it...lol.
Take a look at this cute as cute ATC the image is another of LAA isn't she lovely...I hear a song coming on...lol
I managed to make this before my mini sewing machine give up the ghost sounding in soooo much pain....
well I put the SM in the bin... took it out...put it back in the bin...and out again...

This is it before I started doing things to it...you know me...come back in a couple of days and see it when it's finished,
Below are 2 bracelets I made when my puter was in hospital...the top one was sold last week...one of my fave ones at that.

The one below is going to a craft fair at the end of June.

AAAACHOOO got to go and get myself to bed...I have read Fern Brittons book and am now halfway through Collen Nolans as I have been tucked up in bed most of the last 3 days...but have to get up to make my own chicken broth.

TWINCHIES & JEWELRY

Happy Friday,
During the time that I was without a puter I played with my beads here is another necklace for a friends craft table at the weekend... The hot pink beads are from Denise in Dubai...thank Denise xxxx This one is called 'Pink Wink'

Now then Chris and I got together this week and had a great time creating 2''x2'' pieces of art, they are otherwise known as Twinchies, we know alot of you know about them already but what you may not know is that there is a challenge blog out there for both Inchies and twinchies and my pal Chris introduced me to it and am I so glad she did.... why not check it out over HERE

The theme for this week is 'SCHOOL' and this is my take on the challenge using 'Lisa's Altered Art' images.

LAA has a brand new sheet out on sale right now its 'ZANY' go see for yourself over HERE I can't wait to use it.
Chris not only told me about that blog but she also told me about another great challenge blog too and it just happens to be doing twinchies for their 1st few weeks
check it out over HERE.

Today their theme is BIRDS and as I just happen to have a new Crafty Individual bird stamp here is my entry for this week.
I also caught up with the last 2 weeks challenges and had a great time doing them.... the green and pink being my 1st ever twinchie.

And the bottom one well I just couldnt resist using that little girl in the background who is waiting for her wings as she looks just like me at her age...must find you a photo out one day to show you.
Thanks for looking and big smiles to be back.

Have a great weekend x

Altered Wine Boxes.

Hi,
Back again after a short break from blogging however behind the scenes there has been a little altering going on.

Do you remember not tooo long ago I told you that I had challenged both Chris and Debbie to alter a wine box using Cosmo Cricket Papers.

I found the boxes in a sale they were reduced to just over a £1 50 each.... no way would I have bought them to give as a gift for a bottle of wine as they were... but I could see them being altered,

You can see the wine box being stripped of the paper which actually took me almost 2hrs of scraping and wetting to get mine off.

This is Debbies altered wine box using Cosmo Cricket papers... first she gave the wood a pistachio green wash and then covered the door in CC paper and using their push out letters arranged the word 'Vino'

Next we have Chris' she printed out a gorgeous image and added a few words from CC 12x12 papers she decorated it with some pretty silk flowers after giving the box a teak coloured wash.

The words read.... I can't wait 'til tomorrow 'cos, I get prettier everyday...

Chris then added a very unusual crown to her little Princess.

She then finished it by covering the handle in matching paper and changed the rope for ribbon.
Didn't they do well... ...round of applause please....see below for my altered wine box.

Not only did I alter the wine box but I also covered the label that was attached to it ....It just happen to be the exact same size of the chewing gum package my DD challenged me to alter...well you all know I like a challenge...lol.

And so with my CC papers I set to... covering the cardboard packet with the gorgeous 'Chemistry' paper and added words to the back and front of the covered label folding them so that the card fits very neatly inside the sleeve.

The Image is from Crafty Individual's.

THIS box can be given as a gift from a Male to a Female on an anniversary OR for no reason at all.... just to say.... I love you.....Note for today...must find myself a man!

We hope that we have given you some Ideas for altering a chewing gum packet.
Keep coming back as I have a few more altered challenges my DD set me and would love to share them with you.
Have a lovely Sunday AND a Happy belated Birthday to Chris for Tuesday.

I think they make a gorgeous couple, Sarah organised a party last night with their friends at her house and today was a family gathering at home....but at this moment he and the boys are out celebrating both Curtis and Darrens birthday ...Darren will also be 19 after midnight.
Happy Birthday to Darren too.
hope the Easter bunny arrives with lots of choccie eggs tomorrow.

altered drawers

Do You remember this set of drawers I showed you earlier in the week...
I promised to show you how I transformed them and brought them up to date.
As I have had them at least 10yrs although packed away for the last 5 I decided they needed a fresh new look.

By giving them an undercoat using Gesso (however If I did the same again I would use ordinary craft paint to give an undercoat) I then used a brown acrylic paint on them giving them a lovely look of dark wood.

Insided each of the eight drawers I painted a different colour,

I then added a 1 inch button to the front of each...now you would think I would be going to keep buttons in them but ...no....

I am using them to house some of my gorgeous beads.... my new hobby...my lovely friend Denise has turned me into a bead monster...LOL.
Thank you for looking and I have not forgotten that I have promised to show you some other 'stuff '...I have been altering.
Chris and I have had a great 48hrs crafting away and we will show you all very soon.
Have a lovely Friday tomorrow.

Hello ...Just what have we been getting up to

Hello,

I forgot to share this ATC with you which I entered for The Crafty Individual

ATC challenge, I sent in 2, one that you have already seen. Although I don't know who received mine I was delighted with the 2 I received...Thanks to Jean and Malcolm for arranging the swap.

WHAT is this I hear you ask...well something that would normally find it's way into the bin .... however my daughter who doesn't understand my love of paper and stamps and crafting...CHALLENGED me to do something with the sugar free chewing gum packet and hey ...she was impressed....so if you want to see what I came up with pop back next week and I will show you.

Along with this set of drawers.... pop back to see what I have done to them!!!
Not forgetting the above wine box which I challenged Chris, Debbie and myself to CHANGE the look of using COSMO CRICKET papers.... just how did we cope with this challenge ...what did we create????

Thank you to everyone who has left comments even though I have been unable to get around to you before today.
